Last updated: 15 May 2026
By creating an account or using Knotly you agree to these Terms. Knotly is a SaaS platform that helps water sports schools manage lessons, students, instructors, inventory and rentals.
1. Account and acceptable use
You are responsible for the accuracy of the data you enter and for safeguarding your credentials. You must not use Knotly to violate any law or third-party rights.
2. Roles and data
For data entered about students and instructors, the school acts as data controller and Knotly acts as data processor under Art. 28 GDPR.
3. Service availability
We strive for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Scheduled maintenance is announced where possible.
4. Availability and Weather Conditions Disclaimer
Knotly provides a cloud-based software subscription. The Service fee is strictly calculated based on the availability of the platform and the chosen subscription plan, regardless of the Customer's actual volume of use. Knotly shall not be held liable, nor shall it issue any refunds or credits, for lack of platform utilization caused by adverse weather conditions, lack of wind, force majeure, or any seasonal closures of the Customer's school. The Customer acknowledges that the subscription runs continuously unless cancelled through the app account settings.
5. Limitation of Liability for Time Tracking and Financial Data
Knotly provides time-tracking features and automatic report generation for convenience purposes only. The Customer (the School) remains solely responsible for verifying the accuracy of all recorded lesson times, instructor hours, and student balances before issuing invoices or processing payroll. Knotly shall not be liable for any financial losses, missed revenue, incorrect payroll payments, or disputes between the School, its instructors, and its students arising from technical malfunctions, data inaccuracies, connectivity issues, or user errors within the application.
6. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Knotly is not liable for indirect or consequential damages.
7. Termination
You may close your account at any time. Upon termination your data is deleted according to the retention schedule in our Privacy Policy.
8. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the European Union and the country in which the data controller is established.
